LinQuest is seeking a Cyber Warfare Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Team Lead to support the Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) Deputy Commanding General of Operations (DCG-O) S3/6 Cyber Mission Area Team (MAT) located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This position provides cyber warfare strategic planning and analysis. An active TS//SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is REQUIRED.

The HQ SpOC generates, presents, and sustains combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space and combat support forces and serves as the USSF Service Component to USSPACECOM.

A strong candidate has experience with cyber warfare and defensive cyber capabilities. In this position, you will:

  • Provide technical and tactical expertise in the creation of offensive cyber organizations and operations in support of USSF presentation of forces to USSPACECOM, USCYBERCOM and/or Air Force Cyber Command (AFCYBER).
  • Provide technical DCO expertise and recommendations for Special Access Program/Special Access Required planning/processes for employment of mission capabilities supporting multiple COCOMs.
  • Assist in the creation of joint cyber integration policy, messaging, and tasks.
  • Travel may be required quarterly for a limited durations to support Customer events.
    Secondary responsibilities include:
  • Support strategic technical planning and analysis for cyber capabilities.
  • Make recommendations to integrate cyber effects for proactive defensive cyber capabilities of USSF weapon systems.
  • Inform capability development, including providing inputs for the Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) process.
  • Conduct Science & Technology (S&T) strategy and developmental planning.
  • Document capability gaps/shortfalls and the respective mitigation strategy across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership/ Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy.
  • Recommend operational requirements to establish and maintain cyber forces.
  • Provide recommendations to integrate cyber operations capabilities across USSF mission areas.
  • Provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise for analysis and development of basing actions, facility requests, resourcing requests, organization/manpower changes, mission directives, force development, readiness, policy, and similar tasks for staffing and corporate processes.


The successful Team Lead will have a strong background and experience with the Customer and be able to independently execute assigned tasks, lead meetings, and interface with Customers

In this position, you will:

  • Oversee and manage Team members providing support in this PWS area to ensure the highest quality of customer support while upholding LinQuest values
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of 5-8 LinQuest personnel ensuring compliance with company policies (i.e., weekly Timesheet approval, Performance Reviews, on-boarding)
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact between the Government and contractor personnel
  • Continued outstanding performance of primary job responsibilities
  • Assist the LinQuest Program Manager (PM) and Task Order leadership with maintaining compliance with the IDIQ and TO contract requirements
  • Capture team member accomplishments each month and ensure they quantify the benefit provided to the Customer
  • Produce a quality draft of applicable Monthly Status Report sections using team member inputs
  • Check in with team members (including 2-4 subcontractors) to gauge progress and report status
  • Maintain cooperative group dynamics
  • Ensure PWS requirements are fulfilled in an efficient and timely manner

  • Required Skills:
  • Active TS//SCI clearance with SAP eligibility
  • Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)

  • Accustomed to professionally interacting with General/Flag officers and senior civilian personnel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables with minimal guidance


Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of cyber operations or cyber support experience. Examples include: USCYBERCOM, Cyber Service Component (i.e., 16th Air Force, AFCYBER), Wing (67th Cyberspace Wing, 688th Cyberspace Wing), Network Warfare Squadron, Network Operations Squadron, Cyberspace Operations Squadron, Network Support Squadron OR equivalent.
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations
    Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with space weapon systems.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree.


Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $130,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
