Web Systems Manager
Mouser Electronics - Mansfield, TX
The Manager, Web Systems is directly responsible for the system health and performance of our E-Commerce platform (including our web applications, supporting databases and service providers). The appropriate candidate will be able to guide the department in best practices regarding our software production, our site support, and the commitment to our customers that our website represents.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Directly manages teams of architects, specialists, and database administrators.
• Provides strategy on performance and disaster-recovery initiatives. Executes against these plans.
• Reacts quickly and manages critical system issues until resolved.
• Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendations for these employees regarding performance and change of status, including transfer, advancement, termination, and hiring.
• Works closely and effectively with Development and Systems groups.
• Presents complex topics effectively to senior management, project teams and public groups. Analyzes impact of decisions before execution.
• Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize business requirements and deliver creative designs, prototypes, and specifications to optimize the user experience.
• Facilitates a collaborative relationship with Project Managers to determine the best configuration on assignments based on project characteristics.
• Available to work any shift as critical system issues warrant, up to and including extended hours (including around the clock, as needed) to facilitate issue resolution.
• Available for on-call duty.
• Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and leadership skills.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a productive work team by hiring, training, and coaching qualified talent.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience with evaluating software and services
• Solid understanding best-practices in solution development and support
• Experience with ASP.Net, SQL Server
• Has acceptable driving record and can provide current, valid driver's license and current proof of insurance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in any field, or minimum of 3 years prior work experience that is relevant to the team you will manage. Including:
• Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years as a highly performing Mouser Team Lead or Supervisor.
• External candidates: Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or higher-level management position
• 5 to 7 years of progressive industry related experience
