Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for flexible, resilient, energetic IT professionals with an engineering mentality, who understands how to deliver what the customer wants and needs, through phenomenal collaboration with our business and IT partners.

Responsibilities
  • Gain deep understanding of data by collaborating with business; use the understanding to design, curate and publish connected data sets that enables users to self-serve
  • Propose technology improvements or come up with innovative solutions to tackle business problems.
  • Align with existing Architecture, security, and risk teams, implement latest guidelines and data models while making suggestions on new architecture patterns.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools such as terraform and make guidance on CI/CD standard methodologies.
  • Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies; supports rapid iteration and development.
  • Take lead in inventorying critical data elements and lineage.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships and fosters collaboration with various teams and partners within the organization.
  • Architectural design of sophisticated software components, issue, and solution considerations; apply industry standard processes to build scalable and secure solutions that have outstanding technical performance.
  • Partner with product collaborators to help influence priorities while being responsible for the technical solutions.
  • Complete gap analysis of current solution design, evaluate future needs and develop proof of concepts.
  • Cost/benefit analysis of solutions considering technology, risks, scope, cost, quality, time, and resources.
  • Learn how to measure critical metrics, understand their value, and then use the results to continuously improve both the ecosystem and your solutions.
  • Be proactive, work with collaborators to define architecture prior to initiating an effort, present and explain these concepts.
  • Design and develop reusable architecture models and share knowledge with the larger team.

What we are looking for
  • 6 + years of previous data architecture/engineering experience, with 3+ years of experience working in enabling azure related data technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, Synapse etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python, Spark, and T-SQL
  • Hands-on experience on crafting and developing scripts for ETL processes and automation in Azure data factory, Azure Databricks and PySpark
  • Good understanding of data modeling and ability to apply different techniques within a cloud platform.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking - Subnets, private endpoints, firewalls etc.
  • Knowledge of GIT/Jenkins - using pipelines for deployment
  • Knowledge of implementing azure technologies and networking via Terraform

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Boston, Massachusetts

Salary range is expected to be between
$102,200.00 USD - $189,800.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
