Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation of Energy Transfer's strategic plan to reduce the emissions of reciprocating engines in order to comply with the Good Neighbor Rule (GNR). This position will report to the Manager of Asset Management and Reliability and be based in the Energy Transfer office in Houston, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop a project plan to ensure that Energy Transfer complies with the GNR within the allotted time frame.
  • Coordinate with multiple Operating Divisions throughout the United States to develop individual reciprocating engine project scopes in order to reduce emissions to comply with the GNR.
  • Attend project update meetings and site visits to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Coordinate with the Environmental Group to ensure air permitting modifications align with overall project plan.
  • Develop strategic plans with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and third-party vendors to ensure parts availability to support on time delivery of project milestones.
  • Report project progress to the Energy Transfer GNR Working Committee on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering and Construction to replace engines where the applicable emission reduction is either not possible or cost effective.
  • Document engine modifications made as part of the GNR project and the associated emissions reductions realized.
  • Coordinate with the Regulatory Group to ensure all documentation needed for any FERC certification and/or rate case changes is completed.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations and the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team to ensure all required equipment changes/additions are documented within the SAP-PM application.


Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
  • 10+ years of experience managing major projects within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Demonstrated history of completing complex project milestones on time.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills when presenting to a wide range of customers.
  • Capable of quickly building effective relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of gas turbine, reciprocating engine and compression fundamentals.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, if required. Preferred Qualifications:
