Description

As a crucial member of our management team, you will be instrumental in guiding, overseeing, and fostering the growth of both our seed division and grower relations team. Collaborating closely with the grain merchandising team, you'll spearhead efforts to initiate and synchronize grain acquisitions across all product lines. Our field representative team serves as the primary liaison between growers and Adams Grain Company, emphasizing the significance of timely communication, guidance, and strategic counsel for our organizational success. Additionally, you'll be entrusted with overseeing the strategic direction and innovation within our Adams Seed, Inc. product range, including leading development initiatives and managing the seed supply chain for resale.

Qualifications

  • Lead the organization's transformation to instill a data-driven culture, leveraging technologies and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
  • Manage and develop a diverse and skilled team, comprising breeders and field representatives, providing effective coaching, feedback, and recognition to foster their professional growth and elevate team performance.
  • Define strategic direction and objectives for the seed division and grower relations team.
  • Oversee the expansion and advancement of both the seed division and grower relations team.
  • Collaborate closely with the grain merchandising team to synchronize and oversee grain purchases across all product portfolios.
  • Provide guidance and support to the field representative team to ensure seamless communication and robust relationship-building with growers.
  • Drive innovation and strategic initiatives within the Adams Seed, Inc. product portfolio.
  • Direct and coordinate all aspects of the supply chain process for seed distribution activities, ensuring streamlined operations in supply, inventory management, and cost optimization.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and areas for enhancement.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to measure progress and facilitate data-driven decision-making within our seed breeding activities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to advance organizational objectives.
