What is my Impact?

The Community Engagement Advocate is under the direction of the Sr Director of Regional Business Development and working closely with the Market Development Manager. The Community Engagement Advocate will provide administrative and operational support for regional programs and initiatives aimed at identifying and growing new market opportunities and retaining key business segment membership. The Advocate will also assist with managing key relationships with assigned civic and for-profit organizations, developing, and providing targeted education for Commercial and Medicare businesses, and advancing new outreach strategies consistent with SEP/OEP/AEP directives. This role will also support the CSR Integration team and Commercial Markets Team in directing the activation of sponsorships and foundation programs to grow brand awareness and foster hyperlocal strategic partnerships.

What are my Key Responsibilities?
• Community Partnerships and Investments/Event Management
• Perform Community Engagement and Education on Florida Blue's Affordable Healthcare Plans, Health Insurance Terminology and Concepts, and Healthcare Solutions.
• Advocate for initiatives that promote health equity and access to routine and emergent healthcare in the community.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage multicultural communities in our initiatives, events, and campaigns.
• Serve as a liaison between the community and company providing information, resources, and support as needed.
• Market Development
• Build and retain hyperlocal key relationships with assigned civic, not for profit organizations and local businesses, including coordinating meetings and communications.
• Help develop and provide targeted education for Commercial and Medicare businesses, including preparing presentations and materials.
• Support the development and execution of new outreach strategies consistent with SEP/OEP/AEP directives.
• Collaborate with the CSR Integration team and Commercial Markets Team to direct the activation of sponsorships and programs to grow brand awareness and foster hyperlocal strategic partnerships.
• Customer and Business Support & Org Effectiveness
• Evaluate the effectiveness of Community Engagement efforts.
• Provide administrative support for regional programs and initiatives, including scheduling meetings and events, preparing materials, and maintaining records.
• Assist with documentation, communication, and reporting as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work performed primarily in the community, field work.

What is Required?
• Required Work Experience: 4+ years related work experience in community engagement, health education, and/or business development.
• Required Education: Related bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingualism (Spanish Speaking) is an asset.

General Physical Demands:

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Physical/Environmental Activities:

Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Constantly May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Constantly May be exposed to outdoor or warehouse conditions of loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and mists. Occasionally Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment.

To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases.

Annualized Salary Range: $68,100 - $110,600

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $68,100 - $85,100

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
