ADM is seeking a Network Administrator, for a DoD USAF network integration contract.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for technical issues related to the project.
  • Unbox, perform equipment burn-in testing procedures then ship network equipment to end customer site location (Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, Aruba Mobility Conductor, Aruba Controller 7240XM, Aruba Airwave)
  • Provides Tier 2 and 3 support to Deployment Engineering Team to remotely configure network devices and troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Configure network devices according to established protocols and standards.
  • Perform firmware updates and maintain all network diagrams and documentation.
  • Conduct basic network testing and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains the upkeep of all devices in the lab (switches, Windows servers, SysLog Servers, VMWare, etc.)
  • Assist with network design and implementation projects.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of network security best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to resolve network-related issues.
  • Escalate and resolve technical issues with vendor where applicable.
  • Notifies the Lead Wireless Engineer and the contractor's Program Manager, immediately, of any problems or issues.
  • Work closely with BITI PMO-specified personnel to facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of critical objectives in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date on the latest network technologies and equipment.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a network administration role.
  • Proven experience with installing and configuring network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols (IP addressing, subnet masking, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or equivalent certification.
  • CompTIA Security+.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Two (2) or more years' experience designing, configuring, and implementing a wireless network.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Aruba Certified Network Professional (ACMP).
  • Aruba ClearPass Certified Associate (ACCA) or Aruba ClearPass Certified Professional (ACCP).
  • Certified Wireless Design Associate (CWDA) or Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP) .
  • Experience in Network planning, design strategies for an enterprise WLAN, design of infrastructure and network services, designing WLAN RF, advanced wireless site surveying, 802.11 security design, and troubleshooting of WLAN design.
