Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29414.

Under general supervision of the Medical Director, provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for adults of the Charleston Dorchester Community Mental Health Center.

Exercise medical responsibility for psychiatric services for community mental health center, interviews, examines, diagnoses and treats mental disorders for clients, performs professional duties requiring analysis of broad problems and planning of the treatment of adults at the center.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

STATE: Graduation from an approved school of medicine and completion of four years residency.

INTERNAL: Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina. Completion of required residency in psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications

Board Certification in Psychiatry is strongly preferred.
