Overview

MicroTech is currently seeking a Project/Task Manager position to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier at Joint Base Langley/Eustis, VA. This position is contingent upon award, one that will offer you the opportunity to be part of a cohesive and dynamic team providing mission critical support.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day direction for a group of subordinates
  • Provides expert functional guidance to employees
  • Interfaces with Government management to resolve problems
  • Establishes priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives
  • Interfaces between Government customer and Contractor
  • Performs other PM direct support functional roles
  • Distribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload
  • Give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices
  • Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements
  • Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses and time frames for completion
  • Assign work to personnel according to workload, ability and priority of assignment
  • Provide instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues


The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

  • Defense Acquisition System practical knowledge


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required in Business Management or IT related discipline.
  • 20+ Years experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills for larger teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior government officials and Contracting Officer Representatives
  • Secret clearance
