Executive Managing Director, Structured Reinsurance

The Executive Managing Director is a lead broker shepherding deals and advising clients in developing new, complex, or highly tailored reinsurance solutions. There is a direct focus on broking large, complex, and multi-line reinsurance treaties into the global reinsurance marketplace.

The role is part of a broader team that plugs in with client service teams across the entire client platform. Working as specialist, you will attach to individual accounts within Aon Re's broad and prestigious client portfolio at those critical times for clients, when emerging needs require new and creative approaches or alternative market capacity.

Job responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with key structured reinsurance markets for prospective and retroactive reinsurance placements.
  • Working with the broader Capital Advisory team and brokers, identify specific client needs and work your market relationships to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Participate in RFP response development and deliveries.
  • Lever existing, while developing and expanding our, financial and underwriting analytics to guide clients and underwriters with comparative and decision metrics.

Skills/competencies required:
  • Structured reinsurance is helpful, but not required.
  • Broker, underwriter, or consulting experience required.

Required years of experience:

12+ years of re/insurance experience

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000-$350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] [production incentives] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] [production incentives] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
