Job Description

This role is categorized as Hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum (or other frequency dictated by the business).

The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating exceptional user experiences that resonate with our customers. Your primary focus will be on designing intuitive applications with visually appealing user interfaces that enhance user satisfaction. You will conduct user research, gather feedback, and collaborate with designers and drive development to transform concepts into user-friendly implementations. Your expertise in user-centered application and UI design, development, usability testing, and production rollout will be instrumental in shaping products that deliver an outstanding user experience. What You'll Do:
  • Full Stack Development: Design and implement end-to-end solutions using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Azure Cloud Integration: Leverage Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps for building scalable and resilient cloud applications.
  • Front-end Development: Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Back-end Development: Build robust and scalable back-end systems using technologies such as Node.js, ASP.NET/Core, Python, or Java.
  • API Development: Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services to enable seamless data exchange and functionality.
  • Database Management: Design, optimize, and manage databases to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. Integration of webapps with various backend databases such as Postgres, MySQL, oracle and Databricks.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other issues to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Documentation and Technical Leadership: Create technical documentation, mentor junior developers, and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, provide timely resolutions, and contribute to incident response and recovery efforts.


Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in full stack development, with expertise in front-end and back-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React/Angular/Vue, Node.js, ASP.NET/Core, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
