About the role

Great opportunity for someone to step into a Senior Treasury Analyst role and become a key member of the Group Treasury function. As a Senior Treasury Analyst you will have responsibility for building out and managing the timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of the Group's available cash. You will own everything Treasury Reporting and build the required dashboards while collaborating with various stakeholders. When you not working on reporting you will be free to support the day to day treasury front office operations, as well as supporting various strategic treasury related projects.

The Senior Analyst will support the treasury front office team on strategic projects to manage risk, ensure the group is funded appropriately, implement the Group's Treasury policies, establish and maintain the treasury reporting and drive the efficiency and continuous improvement of Treasury.

Accountabilities

Daily Group Cash Positioning
  • Responsible for reviewing Group cash positioning on a daily basis
  • Develop our Treasury reporting and minimise idle cash and also ensure funding is available when and where required
  • Support the team in monitoring and managing positions to the relevant cut-off times for our cash pools
  • Work closely with our business units to understand cash flow expectations, driving positive change.
  • Review the compilation of the Group cash forecast based on submissions from the business units reported in the Treasury Management System
  • Review daily variance analysis and reporting of actual cash position to individual business cash forecasts
  • Support in Identify funding requirements and coordinate drawings / repayments under the RCF
  • Understand the cause of banking costs and proactively support driving a reduction in charges.
  • Review and support analysts with FX dealing as and when required, while adhering to policy limits and processes.

Group banking structure
  • Support the management and utilization of the main credit facilities
  • Assist with optimizing Group cash pooling structures; open/close bank accounts
  • Support future amendments to cash management structures and payment processing approaches
  • Support the Monitoring Intercompany Loan balances and Virtual account balances

Treasury settlements & cash forecasting
  • Own the preparation of Group Treasury cash flows and work collaboratively with others to consolidate the Group long term cash forecast
    Treasury reporting
  • Establish and continuously develop high quality treasury reporting
  • Prepare and collate the various treasury reporting packs
  • Assist and support the Group Treasury team on day to day treasury operations and ad-hoc projects as they arise
  • Maintain strong relationships with key members of Group Finance, Tax, Group Legal, Divisional Finance, IT and shared service centers

About you
  • Currently studying towards the ACT qualification or qualified.
  • Experience using Kyriba and advanced excel.
  • Good grasp of basic tools, eg Office 365, Excel, Google Suite.
  • Experience of working within or alongside a Treasury Finance function and accounting for Treasury derivatives (IAS 39/IFRS 9)
  • Ideally cash management experience, with an understanding of payment processes and formatting
  • Ideally some exposure to financial systems, eg Treasury Management System, Banking Platforms
