Primary Duties:
  • Writes the 'word-by-word' content of the training courses and programs.
  • Prepares copy that is clear, concise, and targeted for specific groups.
  • Build and design learning metrics, rubrics, and outcomes in conjunction with curricula.
  • Design supplemental study materials and assessments, which will enhance trainees' experiences and that are reflective of best practices in adult learning.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross departmental stakeholders in the conceptualization and design of top tier workforce training modules and curricula.
  • Set product strategy, including the product vision, roadmap timeline, business goals, and lifecycle management. determine scope prioritize feature requests propose investments set expectations for on-going iteration and integration
  • Stay abreast of research-based instructional techniques to inform the product development process
  • Facilitate research throughout development and versioning process to support efficient investments and a customer focus Support the launch of the product by collaborating with content experts, marketing, and sales
  • Continuously monitor product performance, the competitive environment, and market changes so that you can increase product effectiveness Handles multiple projects simultaneously and develops techniques for rapid updates to materials.
  • Leads pilot workshops and small-group tryout sessions when testing new content.
    The Ideal candidate will:
  • Have a deep experience providing support to members of marginalized communities.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of andragogy and pedagogy.
  • Be capable of imagining oneself as the learner/audience member.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of the renewable energy and green construction industry.
  • Brainstorm innovative instructional strategies.
  • Write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and team members. Understand related fields - usability and experience design, information design, communications, and new technologies.
  • Processing Notes Primary Duties Updates existing content contained in comprehensive, new hire multi-week and multi-month training programs. Incorporates feedback from student evaluations into content development and maintenance processes.
  • Builds new courses, lessons/modules based on blueprints (design documents, outlines, etc.).
  • May develop templates, iBook's, graphics, videos, simulations, videos and other audio/visual materials for use in on-line training, interactive web-based, facilitator guides, PowerPoint presentations, participant guides, exams, job aids and other classroom and online materials.
  • Writes the 'word-by-word' content of the training courses and programs.
  • Prepares copy that is clear, concise, and targeted for specific target audiences.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously and develops techniques for rapid updates to materials.
  • Provides weekly status reports. Leads pilot workshops and small-group tryout sessions when testing new content.
  • Demonstrated experience writing, editing, and proofreading education materials
  • Experience developing written materials that articulate, interpret, and explain complex concepts
  • Knowledge of individual career-related or self-development assistance and planning requirements
  • Knowledge of education and incentive programs
    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross departmental stakeholders in the conceptualization and design of top tier workforce training modules and curricula. Build and design learning metrics, rubrics, and outcomes in conjunction with curricula.
  • Update training materials when applicable, including assessments that can be used effectively by Workforce's trainers and instructors.
  • Design supplemental study materials and assessments, which will enhance trainees' experiences and that are reflective of best practices in adult learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Workforce Director and other team members to develop and submit grant proposals.
  • Work effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal guidance.
  • Writes the 'word-by-word' content of the training courses and programs.
  • Prepares copy that is clear, concise, and targeted for specific groups.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred).
  • At least five years' experience designing and writing workforce training curricula.
  • Experience designing learning modules for virtual, hybrid and in person settings.
  • Versed in andragogy and learner centered instructional approaches.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems.
  • Set product strategy, including the product vision, roadmap timeline, business goals, and lifecycle management. determine scope prioritize feature requests propose investments set expectations for on-going iteration and integration.
  • Manage overall financial and product performance, including revenue, profit, and loss through the product lifecycle-from strategic planning to market launch to product retirement
  • Lead cross-functional groups in solution design, concept development, and decision-making on component array Stay abreast of research-based instructional techniques to inform the product development process.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements throughout product development and versioning in every format of product delivery
  • Facilitate research throughout development and versioning process to support efficient investments and a customer focus
  • Serve as an internal and external spokesperson around messaging, go-to-market strategy, and marketing plan execution
  • Support the launch of the product by collaborating with content experts, marketing, and sales
  • Continuously monitor product performance, the competitive environment, and market changes so that you can increase product effectiveness and ultimately drive profitability
