Job Description

As the Tax Director of our public semiconductor corporation, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all tax-related functions across our global operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while implementing strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize our worldwide tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the completion of federal, international, and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for tax planning initiatives, including managing international subsidiaries' tax compliance and optimizing the worldwide tax structure.
  • Direct the accounting for income taxes in the US and international subsidiaries, including preparation of tax provisions and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Manage the company's transfer pricing policies and cost-sharing arrangements, including documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external audit firms and tax authorities on tax accounting, audit issues, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls over accounting and reporting for income taxes to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term worldwide tax strategies, working closely with third-party service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on tax matters related to foreign operations, including income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes in tax law and assess their impact on the company's tax positions and tax accounting implications.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management to achieve company objectives and drive a culture of compliance and excellence.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting; Master's Degree in Business Taxation preferred.
  • CPA certification with previous experience at a Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of corporate tax experience, preferably with multi-national corporations.
  • Extensive knowledge of international tax structures, including stock-based compensation, software licensing, transfer pricing, and cost-sharing arrangements.
  • Proven track record in preparing tax provisions for multinational companies with diverse subsidiaries.
  • Solid understanding of corporate tax concepts applicable to domestic and international operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team-based environment.

The base salary range is $240,000 - $260,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
