Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Business & Cox Residential is seeking a Lead Project/Program Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, secures, and manages resources to bring about the successful completion of Residential and Cox Business Product goals and objectives. Projects are time sensitive with ambiguous content. The Lead Project/Program Manager will partner with Product, Technology, Engineering, and Operations project stakeholders to deliver across cross-functional teams. Facilitates meetings to execute strategic deliverables to drive key decisions.

Common deliverables include Executive presentations, strategic governance, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, key performance dashboards, project schedules, communication plans, risk management plans, status updates, project budget, reporting, and tracking. Uses network terminology, as well as business acumen in addition to industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge to achieve a project's stated objectives. Typically, this individual does not independently deliver content or decisions which define final project deliverables.

Major Tasks
  • Manages multiple complex and strategic projects under minimal supervision. May also lead large multi-year programs, such as device launches, which can include multiple projects across a variety of functional areas. Manages roadmaps and program deliverables under minimal supervision.
  • Serves as the liaison between Technology, Engineering and Product and Operations teams.
  • Facilitates discussions to drive directional alignment of program roadmap.
  • Manages budget including tracking of status, variance explanations and resolving cost issues against the approved Earmark.
  • May provide guidance and direction to more junior project management staff, including resource onboarding and execution support.
  • Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers.
  • Coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • Communicates major milestones and reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle or specific phases within the Solutions Delivery Life cycle (SDLC).
  • Identifies potential program/project dependencies and risks; conducts regular status meetings to review activities; manages prioritization across multiple projects.
  • Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes.
  • Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents and applies change control procedures.
  • Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations.
  • Creates and delivers Executive level presentations as needed.
  • Manages the creation and tracking of processes, procedures, and documentation that improve program governance. Serves as champion of Cox Communication's EPMO Governance Methodology.
  • Partners with other PMs in the portfolio to share best practices and key project information.
  • Leads project teams across both our Residential and Cox Business product portfolio.


Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated analytic, strategic and tactical planning skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional and results-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization. Experience with Technology and Engineering development activities .
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Executive Presentation.
  • Meeting Facilitation.


Preferred
  • Working knowledge of a Telecommunications network desired.
  • PMP certification desired.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence desired.
