UX Researcher-Market Research Responsibilities

  • Design and execute innovative and impactful quantitative and qualitative research, as part of the WhatsApp UX Research team
  • Design hypotheses and lead studies that examine both user behavior and attitudes
  • Develop actionable insights and high impact deliverables that will combine product research with go to market strategy, competitive positioning, pricing and other market analysis
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
  • Ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions
  • Compelling communication


Minimum Qualifications

  • BA / MA/ MSc / PHD in human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.)
  • 8+ years experience in applied market research
  • Command of a broad set of market research methods and/or qualitative user research
  • Basic understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistical concepts
  • Experience asking, as well as answering consumer and market related questions
  • Experienced in product strategy and ecosystem benchmarking - quantitatively and qualitatively


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using stats software (i.e. SPSS, R etc.)
  • Experience in UX Research
