Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the pharmacy leadership team in our stores with the execution of our RxEvolution, while adhering to company policies, procedures and programs that help our customers achieve our purpose of whole health for life, while earning and keeping their trust, and maximizing clinical services, AIM, integrative medicine, script growth, margin and profitability, and effective communication, conflict resolution and the ability to inspire the pharmacy team. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance with Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our purpose, values, mission and our associates and customer experience.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and empower Pharmacy Managers to execute on our RxEvolution by running an efficient pharmacy while executing the company business strategy and pharmacy services based on state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct frequent store visits and complete the pharmacy audits to assess compliance, conditions and performance. Identify sustainable solutions to improve areas of opportunities that impact the business and pharmacy operations to drive sales, script growth and profits in all stores (in area of responsibility).
  • Provide leadership and development for associates by communicating career opportunities, providing regular performance feedback and ensuring all required training is scheduled and completed. Foster a culture of training and development, accountability, and promote career advancement to create a succession plan.
  • Hustle with humility by demonstrating excellent customer service and utilizing key performance indicators to improve customer satisfaction. Engage our brand ambassadors to champion excellent customer service and greet, engage and thank (G.E.T) in our store and empower them to resolve customer service issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance for the Rite Prescription program partnering with Division President on peer review and quality of Rx incident responses and Controlled Substance Loss reporting.
  • Complete company required certifications, education and training. These requirements include but are not limited to Whole Being Health including traditional medicine and holistic wellness and alternative therapies, support for clinical service activities, and training for regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain proper compliance standards with all federal/state regulations including DEA, Board of Pharmacy, HIPAA, ADA, CIA, etc, and resolve any issues with noncompliance implementation or training required to bring store/individual into compliance.
  • Monitor and manage inventory initiatives to ensure that they are implemented correctly, resolve any issues that arise and coach teams for improved performance.
  • Collaborate with divisional, regional, regional tech specialist and store teams in the planning, development, and execution of the regions business plans and objectives to achieve sales, script growth, margin and profitability. Additionally, build a customer centric culture while fostering a culture of associate engagement.
  • Lead the recruitment, selection and hiring of Pharmacy Management and key positions. Provide leadership to pharmacy team in staffing for service, workload, and expense control by ensuring full utilization of Workforce Management.
