Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Our Software Engineers are energetic influencers who thrive on designing simple and scalable solutions to complex problems and delivering leading-edge software products for our customers. We are looking for exceptionally ambitious and communicative hands-on individuals who are comfortable collaborating within the Agile methodology as part of a cross-functional team, have experience working in fast-paced environments, and who have the passion and skills to take our product offerings to the next level.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader in a collaborative team environment that encourages you to perform at your best, while contributing to the engineering efforts of one of our scrum teams. You will be challenged to engineer right-sized solutions for complex business problems. You will apply your knowledge of modern software design, best practices, design patterns, and frameworks, with an understanding of application performance and maintainability. You will aspire to use new technologies and challenge yourself to develop innovative solutions. You will work alongside developers and technical leads on a team where collaborative programming and mentoring are regularly practiced.
  • Apply the principles of secure software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand business requirements, architecture and technology direction, evaluate alternative approaches and ensure software and systems are designed accordingly.
  • Incorporate state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality, scalability, resilience and security as well as ease-of-use (developer / user experience).
  • Apply agile principles to software development with a focus on delivery of business value, collaboration, continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Serves as a participating member on teams tasked to develop, improve and deliver product / system elements and features.
  • Breaks down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear and estimable objectives, providing recommendations to management and project team members.
  • Writes end-to-end automated tests to provide code coverage for business critical components.
  • Ensures quality, performance and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions.
  • Works with fellow team members to ensure design, development and execution align with and support adjacencies and adhere to established architectural standards.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience in developing RESTful micro-services using Java Spring Boot
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, like EC2, lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and/or Amazon RDS.
  • Good to have working knowledge of DevOps concepts and continuous delivery pipelines using tools like Maven, GitHubActions, CDK
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of education)
