Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is looking for a Manager, Production, Planning, and Scheduling 1 to support the Systems and Software Solutions Operating Unit in the Warner Robins, GA. This Leader will be responsible for coordinating the vision and strategy Operating Unit and collaborate with functions leads to meet objectives.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

*Building a collaborative relationship between scheduling, production, material operations, program office and functional areas

*Program schedule performance including customer relationships and staff forecasting

*Mentoring and training direct report team

Job Responsibilities
  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with Material Operations to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Schedules equipment and production control personnel, confirms material supply and demands align to the production schedule, prepares work orders based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts based on production schedules
  • Manages 6 SCA Production Control clerks and 2 Metrology technicians
  • Works within GOLD, MES, and iMRO systems
  • Must be familiar with the creation and use of Gantt charts
  • Must understand CPI/SPI metrics


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of scheduling management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years, or master's and 4 years' related experience will be considered
  • Business Acumen (complete understanding of CPI and SPI)
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years, or master's and 4 years' related experience
  • Engineering/Scheduling/Technical background/understanding
  • Logistics Experience (Supply support/Spares provisioning/Operations/Maintenance/CLS)
  • Air Force "Art of the Possible" knowledge/experience
  • Successfully demonstrated balancing customer, employee, and shareholder objectives
  • Business Acumen (Experience owning P&L business)
  • The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes
  • The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive approach to problem resolution that resolves conflicts quickly
  • The ability to address schedule risks and opportunities, determine appropriate plans, and manages
  • Builds strong relationships with strategic partners and team

Salary Range: $82,100.00 - $123,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
