This leader will be part of the Engineering & Technology (E&T), Simulation & System Test (SST), Systems Integration and Test (I&T), 5th Gen Platforms SI&T, and will lead F-35 5th Gen Integration Team. The team is responsible for performing mission system capability integration and maturation, verification, validation, and regression testing for F-35 modernization efforts. Testing is generally at the system level and performed in hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) venues.

Who You Are
Leader must ensure team milestones are achieved to meet associated specific program achievements.
Leader will apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the team's workflow.
The leader will be responsible for coordinating employee work assignments, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, selection and training, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
This leader will organize F-35 modernization product integration and testing utilizing system level HITL and virtual Operations Flight Program-in-the-Loop integration and test labs.
Team duties include hardware with software integration, performance testing, system regression testing, and after action report and system problem report authoring.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead execution and performance of F-35 SI&T 5th Gen Integration team to include people, processes and tools.
- Integrations and test planning, execution and status of efforts in the F-35 labs.
- Provide on-going status updates to Lockheed senior leadership.
- Foster innovation and appropriate risk measures to drive process improvements.
- Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary planning, recognition, disciplinary actions, career development, and succession planning.
- Responsible for employee recruitment, requisitions, interviews, selections, on-boarding, training and competency development.
- Responsible for workforce planning/forecasting through assignments of direct personnel to funded and high potential work.
- Defines and aligns training needs and plans, Knowledge Continuity strategy, talent acquisition strategies, and ensures overall competency development and relevancy.
- Promotes Engineering and Technology affordability and effectiveness through alignment with enterprise-level test automation efforts.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in a STEM field (engineering highly desired).

Integration and test experience.

Experience with leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and/or experience forming and growing a high performing multidiscipline team.

Must have active Secret clearance or higher.
Must be US citizen with ability to obtain Program Access clearances.

Desired skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus.
F35 Program clearances desired.
Experience with software test design, software debug, lab integration, and test.
Familiarity with Mission Systems and general avionics architectures and functionality.
Systems Engineering development and integration experience with large complex systems.
Experience in Mission Systems capabilities within aircraft platform(s).
Experience in developing and executing technical plans.
Experience in developing technical talent and building pipelines to sustain organizational expertise.
Proven experience as a strategic thinker with the ability to translate into action and results.
Experience in systems engineering development and integration processes.
Demonstrated organizational leadership experience.
Experienced working with multiple LM Aero F-35 engineering teams (e.g., MS, VS, WPNs, Labs).
Government flight test interaction and interface experience.
Hardware-in-the loop Simulation Experience.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
