As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced plant MANAGER.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, highly disciplined and high-energy individual to lead the team as the Plant Manager. We are looking for a professional with extensive knowledge to oversee all plant operations and make crucial decisions for the company. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the responsibility for all financial aspects of plant operations and have a familiarity with the automotive industry.

  • Reports to the Director of Operations
  • Create direction for departments by having daily and weekly meetings with the direct reports
  • Maintain and improve employee morale by facilitating team building and communication within departments
  • Communicate with our corporate resources
  • Assist in interviewing and will be part of making final hiring decisions
  • Appraises employees productivity and efficiency and recommends promotions
  • Develops and manages operations budgets to ensure compliance with the company and the customer
  • Responsible for continuous improvement
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  • Enforce company policies/procedures and corresponding work instructions
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Make financial decisions by determining the number of hourly and salary personnel according to the needs of the business
  • Will make recommendations for promotions
  • Directs all departments and determines the number of employees needed
  • Must be able to perform work duties in a fast-paced, shared environment
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed


Requirements:

"MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in plant management level, material logistics, and manufacturing
  • General understanding of problem-solving using root cause analysis, safety, labor relations, and workers compensation
  • Working knowledge of value added subassembly -Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Automotive background preferred, specifically with experience related sequencing, JIT and subassembly
  • Strong skills in managing salaried and hourly employees and processes
  • Strong customer interfacing skills, 24/7 availability via cell phone
  • Demonstrated success launching operations and start-up projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
